Today I Made a Difference

Salaam people! Hows it going with your fasting? I dont know why I wanna talk about friends but could you tell whether your friends are being friends with you sincerely or vice versa? Some cases I dont think we can but we can feel it if someone’s being weird and too friendly. Right? Theres this one hadith I read during high school that I could remember till now. It says, If you befriend with someone but you dont know the exact reason why you both are being friends then it means youre being friends because of Allah. So go to your friends and say, “I love you because of Allah.” I really love this hadith, so you can know why youre being friends with certain people. If you have reasons beneath it then youre just a friend not an ukhwahfillah. Or maybe its too nice to say that youre a friend, maybe youre a ugly sponge or a sucking tube. While an ukhwahfillah is someone who befriend with you because of God and in a way someone who will take your hands to Jannah. Theres a hadith saying, “befriend with good people and dont get near with the ones: when youre with them; they dont remind you of Allah”. Quite a amusing hadith to ponder, right? Sorry I couldnt give you the precise hadith, but that is exactly the whole meaning of it. So people, rethink, you got a collections of friends or ukhwahfillahs. Barakallahufiq! :D
